This summer had me running around like a chicken with my head cut off: first at NIST with the summer school followed by travel to a number of meetings. The first of those was in Japan. Of course I don't take pictures much, but fortunately many others did and shared them with me. Thus most of the "snapshots" are from Japan. Certainly I have none from the Los Alamos or Caltech whirlwinds. So at the risk of violating some copyrights I include an image of a postcard from each as "evidence" of my trip
